We fund only grant requests not loans. All approved grants are non-repayable and managed with supervision to ensure long-term impact and accountability.

You are eligible to apply if you are:

• A registered startup, SME, NGO, or social enterprise
• Operating in a sector aligned with Papal Foundation' impact areas
• Able to demonstrate financial need, growth potential, and community relevance
• Committed to transparent reporting and measurable outcomes
• Based in a country or region approved under our active funding mandates

We welcome founders from diverse backgrounds: women led, youth run, underrepresented communities, and cross border ventures.

• Seed Grants : For early stage businesses or pilot projects

• Growth Grants : For scaling operations and reaching new markets

• Sectoral Impact Grants: Focused on agriculture, health, education, etc.

• Community Grants : For nonprofit or community-based impact work

• Tech Enablement Grants : For digital transformation in traditional sectors

• Initial PreparationBefore applying, gather the following:
  • Business registration documents
  • Financial statements (last 6 months)
  • Project proposal or business plan (including projected impact)
  • Founder bios and team structure
  • Proof of community involvement or sector relevance
• Online ApplicationSubmit your application through our secure web portal or email. You’ll be asked to provide:
  • General business information
  • Funding category and requested amount
  • A detailed description of your initiative
  • Timeline and milestones
  • How the grant will be utilized

  • Optional: supporting video pitch or testimonials

• Eligibility ScreeningOnce submitted, our team will conduct a pre-screening to ensure:
  • Compliance with eligibility criteria
  • Proper documentation
  • Alignment with Papal Foundation’ values
  Applicants passing this stage will be notified via email within 5–10 business days.
• Evaluation & InterviewEligible applications are evaluated on:
  • Social impact and alignment with funding priorities
  • Financial viability and sustainability
  • Innovation and scalability
  • Leadership strength and execution capacity
  Shortlisted applicants may be invited to a virtual interview or call with our funding team and sector experts.
• Approval & DisbursementApproved applicants will receive:
  • A Grant Acceptance Agreement
  • A breakdown of disbursement stages
  • Assigned a Project Supervisor for mentorship and monitoring
  Funds will be disbursed according to project timelines and milestones.
